EDOX DIALS UP THE XCAT FACTOR

XCAT racing is the world’s most thrilling offshore powerboat series and now   Swiss   watchmaker Edox is along for the ride. Edox will partner Team     Australia as its pilots, Pal Virik Nilson and Brett Luhrmann, look to capture the 2019 world championship.

The XCAT twin V6 multi-hulls, made from advanced carbon technology, roar across the water at close to 200km/h; racing them requires courage and superb seamanship and split-second timing. Edox will release a striking new chronograph to mark the new era with the “Blue Roo” team.

The Edox Automatic Chronograph Carbon (45mm) is powered by an Edox Calibre 011 chronograph movement, based on the Sellita SW500. With a carbon-coated case and 500 m water-resistant rating, the Automatic Chronograph Carbon won’t miss a beat in the rough-and-tough, adrenaline-fuelled theatre of XCAT.

Available in four colour variants, all featuring a transparent case back allowing the full view on the movement, the Automatic Chronograph Carbon is another superb example of precision watchmaking from Edox.

EDOX – CO-1

The CO-1 collection was designed for performance and extreme adventure. Water resistant to 500 m and having a helium valve at 9 o’clock, these watches are the perfect companion in all diving excursions. EDOX

In 1884, Christian Ruefli-Flury, a highly talented and romantic watchmaker “Maître-Horloger”   from Grenchen in Switzerland, produced a pocket watch for his beloved wife Pauline’s 25th birthday. Impressed by this exquisite gift, she convinced her husband to set up his own watchmaking company. Christian Ruefli-Flury called it “Edox”, which means “measuring of time” in ancient Greek. Edox introduced its distinctive hourglass symbol in 1900 and it has been a proud part of the official company logo ever since   Through the years, Edox has set new standards in technical know-how and innovation in its timepieces. Sporty or classy, the Edox collection is a fusion of elegance and dynamism delivering high quality products at a reasonable price. Based in Switzerland’s Les Genevez, Edox remains a family owned company that is carrying on the great traditions of Christian Ruefli-Flury, its founder all those years ago
