Edox

In 1884, Christian Ruefli-Flury, a highly talented and romantic watchmaker “Maître-Horloger” from Grenchen in Switzerland, produced a pocket watch for his beloved wife Pauline's 25th birthday. Impressed by this exquisite gift, she convinced her husband to set up his own watchmaking company. Christian Ruefli-Flury called it “Edox”, which means “measuring of time” in ancient Greek.

Edox introduced its distinctive hourglass symbol in 1900 and it has been a proud part of the official company logo ever since.Through the years, Edox has set new standards in technical know-how and innovation in its timepieces. Sporty or classy, the Edox collection is a fusion of elegance and dynamism delivering high quality products at a reasonable price.

Based in Switzerland's Les Genevez, Edox remains a family owned company that is carrying on the great traditions of Christian Ruefli-Flury, its founder all those years ago.
