Hublot Ambassador, No. 1-ranked golfer in the world Dustin Johnson -otherwise known as "DJ”- takes home the third Saudi International on February 7 by shooting 15-under-par. DJ has been a dominant figure at the Saudi International, winning the inaugural Championship in 2019 and finishing runner-up in 2020. The explosive athlete whose steely determination, talent and resolve have propelled him to the highest standing among golfers, is considered the most gifted and athletic player on the circuit, thanks to his ultra-powerful, precise drives and superb skills on the greens. Johnson has won six World Golf Championships among numerous other victories.
When Hublot and Dustin Johnson announced their partnership in 2017, the golfer had shared: "I am honored to join the distinguished list of Hublot Ambassadors, especially since I have always been such an admirer of their timepieces. Each one is so unique, unlike many of the other luxury brands, which I appreciate and enjoy. I am very excited about the partnership and hope to hoist a few trophies with a Hublot on my wrist.”
And that he did. Time and again, along with his latest win in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Speaking about the tournament on February 6, Johnson said: “I would say the game is in better form right now than two years ago, but I think I holed a lot more putts two years ago than I did this year so far. But there’s always tomorrow.” And the next day did him justice with DJ emerging as champion.
